Traditional Pilgrimage Sequence in Ayodhya

Every devout pilgrim to Ayodhya observes this order — seeking Hanuman’s permission before approaching Ram:

  1. Hanuman Garhi — Always first. Seek Hanuman’s blessings and permission before approaching Ram Mandir.
  2. Ram Mandir (Ram Janmabhoomi) — Main darshan of Ram Lalla in the inner sanctum.
  3. Kanak Bhawan — Ornate Sita-Ram temple nearby.
  4. Sarayu Ghat — Holy bath in the Sarayu river.
  5. Nageshwarnath Temple — Ancient Shiva temple said in tradition to have been founded by Kush, Ram’s son. TRADITIONAL: Attribution to Kush is from traditional accounts.
